For Evan's 30th birthday he wanted to go for a short hike after work, bring cans of beer, and enjoy the amazing views we are so fortunate to see in Colorado. So, right after work we drove to the Mount Galbraith Park just outside of Golden along Golden Gate Canyon. We headed to the top of the trail and enjoyed an 'Old Chub' beer and the great view at the top.

When we got back home we had homemade Vanilla Cake! I could not fit 30 candles on :) I got Evan a Mountain Bike for his birthday. He built the entire bike on his own, from the frame up so it was not a surprise but I still had to put a bow on it.
Since Evan's birthday fell on a Friday and he has to finish the school year we are going to go for a long weekend birthday celebration in 2 weeks at the beginning of his summer break. We are heading to Steamboat Springs, CO and doing 2 nights of backpacking on Mount Zirkel and I think I convinced Evan to stay in a hotel on the 3rd night. I just cannot take 3 days without showering and sleeping in a bed :)
