Evan and I went to see The Walkmen at one of the local record stores, Twist and Shout. We saw the Walkmen in Ann Arbor over 7-8 years ago and it was a lot of fun seeing them again. It was neat watching a concert in such a small venue. They were great again to see live!
Someone recorded some of the concert and put on youtube... (does not sound as good as they actually sounded):
Much of the family was able to get together for my Grandma's 85th birthday. She looks amazing!
I flew into Detroit and then drove to Libertyville with my Mom and flew out of Midway. It was a quick but wonderful weekend. I was able to stay in Lansing for the day and spend time with my Mom and Dad and I was able to see Kara and her sweet little girl, Tahlia.
The next day I went to Northville to babysit my 2 wonderful nieces!

Evan's Silver Rush Race:
Evan competed in the Silver Rush 50 mile bike ride and 50 mile run in Leadville, CO. See his race report: http://evanmacfarlane.blogspot.com/2012/07/silver-rush- mtb.htm

I was Evan's support crew for the weekend. I actually had a great time spectating and watching all the athletes and Evan compete in such a tough race. It was a beautiful place to spectate and the days went really fast with all of the driving I did along the jeep roads to make it to the aid stations. Photos from the weekend...

The Traegers:
Evan and I both love having guests and we had a great time with Maggie and Josh. We had many laughs, great dinners, and we went on a cruiser tour of Denver. We are excited they are moving to Phoenix so it will be easier to see each other. Picture of Maggie and I on our cruiser bikes below...
