Golden Gate Canyon (Sept. 16th, 2012)
There is only a week or 2 left of the nice fall foliage! Evan, Ozzy and I went on a trail run in Golden Gate Canyon. We went along the Deer Mule Trail. I did a mix of hiking and running, mostly hiking up the climbs and running down! I will be doing many more of these types of runs as I start training for the Leadville marathon. Hopefully I will be doing mostly running vs. walking on these climbs by then.
(The start of our run)
(Ozzy hoping Evan was coming up along the trail. He would cry every time he saw Evan... he is a true herding dog)
(We started in this valley)
(I thought I would try 'bouldering' today ;))
(This was the view worth climbing for)
Peak to Peak (Sept. 8th, 2012)
Fall is my favorite time of year and fall in the mountains is truly amazing. Evan and I were excited to see the fall foliage along Peak to Peak. There is no better way to view the scenery than riding a road bike. We had a great ride from Rollinsville to Ward and back along CO-72 with a little diversion climb up to Eldora. The views were amazing and I never feel like our pictures do justice! It was a good thing the scenery was so beautiful because this was a pretty tough ride for me. The 4 hour ride went fast since every view was breath taking.

(Little town of Eldora)
Famous little town of Ward. You can barely see Evan due to the blinding neon cyclist who decided to come outside the shop as I was taking a picture of Evan. We had one of their awesome cookies and a coke and I was ready to get back on my bike.
Breckenridge!
Our September started with a great wedding weekend. Gavin and Amy hosted a beautiful and fun wedding weekend over Labor Day weekend.
(Looking down at Loveland Pass)
On our way to Breckenridge Evan and I decided to have John and Nancy drop us off in Georgetown and our plan was to ride up over Loveland Pass into Breckenridge. We were about 3 miles to the top of Loveland Pass on our bikes and a storm came in. I decided to call my 'support crew', John and Nancy, who were right by where we stopped to have them pick me up. Evan decided to go along in the rain. I had best of both worlds I road up most of the pass, skipped the scary descent, and hiked with John and Nancy.
(It was a bit windy!)
Gavin & Amy's wedding was beautiful. The ceremony and reception was at 10 mile Station. The view was breath taking and the evening even ended with a full rainbow!!
(That is Conor in the middle, he was the 'Ring Bear'!)
